Salzburg Shines

The last time we were here it was mostly rainy and cold.

My reservations about coming back have been rectified though as the weather has been incredibly clear and hot.

We always stay at a guesthouse about 20 minutes walk from the downtown area that is near where Pete lived as a teenager. There are lots of green rolling fields and open spaces so you do feel removed from the hustle bustle of Salzburg which is crawling with tourists still.

From the pictures you may notice that this is not the place for a vegan to visit (not that either of us is).  In its green defence though, both Austria and Germany make wonderful salads. One of us is more inclined than the other, no names mentioned!

Fortunately, we have done a lot of walking (14,000 steps so far today). And no, we are not counting manually!!
Good thing you say, or we might just look like the blue cow in the next picture!

Mirabel Gardens

Cemetery down the road where we are staying - oops I meant to stay near where we are staying! Actually, I'm just testing to see if anyone is still reading this blog. I know it's been a long haul with lots of pictures, so please bear with us? 😎😂
