Amsterdam Central Train Station
It was another warm, beautiful day in Amsterdam. I found out this morning while chatting with our B&B host that there are over 60 different ethnicities living in this city. Still not sure how many canals, but in a word, I would say "a lot."

Today's adventures were to explore the biggest street market, called Albertsomethingorothermarket, as well as taking an hour long canal tour (via a boat). Due to a slight overdoing it yesterday which equated to sore feet and one white man with a sunburn (no names mentioned), we decided to cut down on the mileage and take a tram today on the way to both destination points. It is amazing how much faster it is to get around especially when you know where you are going. Yesterday's marathon walk, although enjoyable had some low epp points in it. We did find that working off of a paper placemat map (swiped from the breakfast table), with -25 size font, proved to be a bit challenging at times to know where the *!? we were. Consider it divine irony to discover this morning that there is a main tram - right outside our place of residence - that took us directly to where we went yesterday, in a fraction of the time. No further comments needed on that subject!!

Now I have to preface the blog today by saying, that I must come clean on my photographer's mishap yesterday. Of course, he didn't drop his camera in the canal...but I thought it made for a good storyline and I certainly enjoyed it. But as many of you know, I do have a warped sense of humour.

No, sadly the story behind the missing pictures is of a more unbelievable nature - we forgot one of the 'thingy majigs' that plug into the camera and adapts it for the computer. Hard to believe I know, given that we are world-renowned as packing expertito's, but yes, it is true. We have been reduced to relying on some of the lesser quality pictures (like mine). But rest assured, what we lack in quality, we make up for in quantity.

So without further adieu I will release you from my rambling monologue and let you enjoy some of the pics. The market was very enjoyable with lots of different wares, and food, of course!

Wooden clogs, anyone?

On our way to boarding the canal tour boat...

Oops back to the market - this was some really 'blue' cheese, I thought!

Will the real photographer, please stand up? 😀
