Spring is here...
Despite the below seasonal temperatures and excess rain, nature still is able to shine, with lush, emerald green lawns, blossoming trees and so many vibrant coloured flowers. Irises are one of my favourites in this season, so I could not resist displaying this picture.
And, so what does this have to do with going to Italy, one might ask? I am wondering myself! It's a picture of irises - not pasta, or old churches or a gelato stand. (Just wait though, in a few days you will be saying pics like that). No, it is just beautiful greenery in little ol' New West - nothing quite as exotic as where we are heading - Frankfurt, Milano, Cinque Terre, Lake Como.
I guess what I am trying to say is that I am slipping into holiday mode already. Awesome!!!! Being on holidays usually equates with relaxing, being more in the moment, appreciating nature, and - wait for it - Pete taking pictures! I am looking forward to soaking it all up (including some gelato, pasta and a little red wine)!
And, we hope that you will be able to journey along with us, without even having to travel across the pond! Speaking of which, we fly out on a big bird tomorrow night around 5:30 p.m. and arrive into Frankfurt around 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Should be fun. Stay tuned....
Ciao!!
