June itinerary...

We are getting ready for our next trip... Can you feel the excitement building?  We are heading to Northern Italy - by the water - well mostly, by the water...

Here is some of our itinerary:

We will be leaving Vancouver on Saturday, June 2 - first stop, Frankfurt International, here we come!  We have a charming little Italian restaurant near our favourite hotel in Frankfurt - I know, I know - we are in Germany.  But still, the food is great - a Sicilian homegrown cook - who serves up a mean veal chop about the size of a Flintstone steak (for Pete of course!)  

We will wake up refreshed on Monday, June 4 and leave Frankfurt behind - allora Italia next stop - Milano. After a short flight to Milano, we will board a train to Desenzano dei Garda.  Don't you just love that name - it sounds so romantic...  It is a smallish town on Lake Garda, which is the largest lake in Northern Italy, well, in all of Italy actually.  And here we will perch for at least a week...
