OMG ... only 2 more sleeps

A funny thing happened tonight - I was checking the weather forecast for Verona (incidentally it is supposed to be 80+ each day we are there).  It said for today - May 20th, it was 80+ and sunny and I was thinking "but I'm looking for next week".  And then I realized, today is May 20th and we will be in Verona in 3 days.  OMG...

Holidays are a funny thing... everything gets frantically busy before you go away.  Why is that? It's an odd thing for sure. Is it because we are afraid to let go of our everyday responsibilities and identities... and experience something out of the ordinary? And, so instead, we create all this unnecessary busyness. I don't know... but I would like to!  Needless to say, the last few days have been a bit hectic.  But...hey, I am not complaining (well maybe a little!)  But soon, very soon, we shall be sipping on an Italian coffee (Pete) or an nice cold Italian drink (me).    

We leave Vancouver around noon on Sunday and arrive into Verona on Monday around 10:00 a.m. local time.  We are flying on Air Berlin - a first - so stay tuned for flight reviews.

Well, I think I need some rest so I shall say good night for now!  Ciao - arrividerci!
